Transfer Policy

First – General Provisions for Transfer and Enrollment Change from Public and Private Universities to the IUSR.
  1. The university where they are studying must be accredited and recognized in the country of study and by the Higher Education Council in the Syrian interim Government.
  2. All students registered in Syrian public and private universities and non-Syrian universities for the academic year 2022/2023 have the right to transfer and change enrollment to the university, provided they meet the admission requirements according to the announcement in the current year’s direct registration guide and that vacancies are available.
  3. All students registered in Syrian public and private universities and non-Syrian universities for the academic year 2021/2022 and before have the right to transfer to the university according to their registered specialties, regardless of the student’s high school grade, provided that the student is successful or promoted to the next year at the transferring university, and after vacancies are available.
  4. All students registered in Syrian public and private universities and non-Syrian universities for the academic year 2021/2022 and before have the right to transfer and change enrollment to other specialties within the university, provided they meet the admission requirements in the registration year and that vacancies are available.
Second – General Provisions for Transfer and Change of Enrollment within the University

All students enrolled in IUSR have the right to transfer to other specialties within the university within the following conditions:

  1. They achieve the minimum admission requirement in the registration year.
  2. Vacancies are available.
  3. They have a clear record.
Third – General provisions for transferring graduates from institutes to colleges with similar specialties

All students who are graduated of a certain institutes within or outside the university have the right to bridge to another specialty in the same college as the following:

 

Institute Equivalent College
All Medical and Health institutes College of Health sciences
Institute of Human Resources College of Management and Economics

Institute of Cyber and Network Technology

Institute of Information Management systems

College of Informatics’ Engineering
Institute of student Teacher Preparation College of Education
Institute of Forensic College of Law
Institute of Psychological Guidance College of Philosophy

 

It should be under the following conditions and procedures:

  1. The high school certificate must match the specialization.
  2. The graduation GPA from the institute should not be less than 75% for students graduating from universities with a semester system.
  3. The graduation GPA from the institute should not be less than 2.3 for students graduating from universities with credit hours system.
  4. If the graduation GPA is less than 75% or less than 2.3, the high school grade for the year of transfer will be considered.
  5. Availability of vacancies.
Fourth - All students registered based on the institute's certificate are financially treated according to the university's applicable financial regulations for transferred students.
