Discussion of graduation projects for students of the College of Education, Psychology Department

36 male and female students from the College of Education, Psychology Department, at the International University for Science and Renaissance discussed their graduation projects. The meeting was attended by the university president, Dr. Mustafa Al-Darwish, the administrative deputy, Dr. Taher Hamidi, and members of the university’s faculty, as well as some student guardians who were acting as examiners.

The examination committee consisted of: Dr. Mohammed Al-Omar, the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Abdel-Hay Al-Mahmoud, Dr. Suhaim Abdulaziz, Dr. Hussam Ibrahim, and Mr. Mustafa Anan.

The Dean of the College of Education and its students honored the university president, Dr. Mustafa Al-Darwish, as an expression of gratitude for the excellent treatment they received at the university during their years of study and for facilitating matters for the students at all levels. The students also honored their college dean, Dr. Mohammed Al-Omar, as an expression of their thanks and affection towards him.

The students’ projects covered a wide range of topics that touched on current issues and prevalent problems. Some of these topics included:

  1. The level of internet addiction and its relationship to psychological well-being among students at the International University for Science and Renaissance.
  2. Violence against women and its impact on self-esteem.
  3. Cognitive styles and their relationship to psychological stress among university students.
  4. Future anxiety and its relationship to ambition levels among high school students.
  5. Psychological displacement and its impact on mental health among residents in refugee camps.

The students concluded their project discussions by taking group photos for remembrance, hoping to return to the university for postgraduate studies and eventually become professors themselves.
