As part of the collaboration between the International University for Science and Renaissance, represented by Dr. Mohammed Al-Omar, the Dean of the College of Education, and the Yunus Emre Center, represented by Mr. Fikret Cetinak, the Social Research Team from the International University for Science and Renaissance inaugurated the second conference on social phenomena at the Yunus Emre Center in Azaz. The conference focused on the phenomenon of begging in liberated northern Syria, with a research paper titled “Together Against Begging.”

The research aimed to study the reality of the begging phenomenon in the areas of liberated northern Syria, specifically in Azaz and its surroundings. It aimed to identify the main economic, social, and family-related causes of the begging phenomenon. The research was conducted by students from the College of Education at the International University for Science and Renaissance, who used a begging scale and conducted field interviews with child beggars in the city of Azaz.

The research recommended preventing the begging phenomenon by providing employment opportunities, offering vocational training, and providing psychosocial support to those affected. It also highlighted the importance of charitable organizations in addressing this issue.
