As part of the Professional Training Diploma in Local Administration, organized by the Ministry of Local Administration and Services in collaboration with the International University for Science and Renaissance, a series of lectures were held today for trainees, including members of local councils (main and sub-councils).
The opening session was conducted by Mr. Abdelghani Shoubk, the Assistant Minister of Local Administration. During his presentation, he provided an overview of the Local Administration Law issued by Decree No. 107 in 2011, the executive regulations, the internal system of local council units, and Decision No. 1378 in 2011, which includes administrative divisions, their census, and population.
Following this, Dr. Hossam Al-Ibrahim, the Director of the Human Resources Institute at the University of Renaissance, delivered a lecture on the management of resources and projects. He explained the concept of projects, their management, and the monitoring program within the activities organized by the project.
Dr. Jawad Abu Hatab, the former Prime Minister of the Interim Syrian Government, also presented a lecture within the axis of the theory of local administration and local governance. He illustrated the historical narrative of local administration and its experiences in Syria.
